The mid year exam is known as Common Test, and it is held in July (right after June hols)

All Year 4 students who are born in year 2007,
coming from 2023 Year 4 combined IP (RI + RGS)

entering into Raffles Institution first year JC next year 2024, may take note.

1) wef. next year 2024 onwards,

you will be under the brand new maximum 70 score points A level system. No more under the current old phasing out soon by the end of 2023 December, the maximum 90 score points system

And

inside Raffles Institution -

For the more often popular "Science" stream

H2 A-level (BCMX or PCMX) subject combination,
where

X stands for a Humanities subject, B for H2 Bio,
C for H2 Chemistry,
P for H2 Physics,
M for H2 Maths,

note that -

the lecture slots are all online in RI while the tutorial(s) and Science practical slots are conducted in person, by the lecturer in charge of that subject matter content.

When do we normally get info on RI? Referring to info like 1st day of school, books n uniform purchase?

When will the school give us the login info to Stamford RI portal?

When can we start applying for MOE ISB?

I sent an email to the school but no one replied. Calls to the school also went unanswered.

Now is year end school holiday. Many teachers and staff are overseas on holiday celebrating Christmas and coming new year, with their families. They will reply your email next year January 2024, when new year starts.


The real acdamic pace will pick-up, after the GCE O level students have joined RI, in February 2024,

For uniform you can get it from these two vendors In-Trend Uniforms and Finest Fashion Center (PE Attire).
Note: These are two separate vendors - one selling only uniforms and the other one for PE attire.

Books purchase - I'm not sure too, my girl didn't mention anything yet.
1st day of school: 15 Jan 2024. (I guess it is like orientation)


RI portal login: Same here, I have no info. yet.

I think you should start buying the uniform, PE shirt, House shirt and RI shirt (Black) before the release of S1 posting result is out. Please make sure your daughter try on the uniform size because it is not 100% accurate based on the label.

If same as this year, no need to buy house t shirt as the school issue during orientation (need to pay for ori packge; use edusave;2 t-shirt plus some stuff ; value for money).


We (son ri/2022) received the orientation info at end Jan23. For prog that he attended that started before the jae joined them, he got his updates from email.

We received notification of First Deduction of fees via giro in Mar this year; deducted in Apr. So there should be time to apply for ISB in Jan. If you keen to settle ASAP, you/your girl can probably inquire personally when you dropping by the school to get uniform or other stuff.

Our girl will be joining J1 next year too, from RGS. Looking forward to learning from all.
