If can satisfy payroll and credit card exp..I still find Uob One best. 5% excluding Card rebates. Can get more than 400 int/mth.
Not easy to get new customers, most people I know are consolidating accounts and credit cards for easier management.

Also, can be troublesome to change salary crediting.

There will be some works initially. I was like fm Uob changed to ocbc360 when ocbc changed rate.. then uob increased the rate to match and I went back. Now that the rate is dropping, I m not sure how long this rate can sustain.

..it seems nowadays the qtrly cc rebate is more flexi as I see odd figures instead of fixed amt like 100/150/300 etc but I don't hv time to monitor..so long as there is min $50/qtr min I think.

The HSBC ega is not bad too but minus pt is need take out rest 1 mth b4 considered as fresh fund for next round..something like that. Mine due end this mth and int by Sept..haven't seen the interest yet so not sure whether good or not.

The last Tbills seems very good too.

The dividend of T - Bill is paid upon the auction date and no need to wait for the 6 months period.

I think it will be wise to look at other alternatives instead of just FD. Now, if you have 100k I’d strongly suggest an UOB One account which bag you up to 7.8% P.A and the criteria are reasonable. You need to have a spending of above $500 per month and fulfil either of these 2 criteria, 1) Salary of at least $1,600 being credited under SAL code OR 2) Make 3 Giro Debits transaction per month.

If you have another 100k, you can also make use of the UOB Stashaway account which gives 5% P.A. All you’re required to do is just leave the money there and don’t make any withdrawals. In the event that you have to, you will miss a month of bonus interests but it will be reset on the following month.

By far, these 2 products have worked well for me. I’d appreciate if any parents here have a better options. Thanks!
