2ppaamm or other ortho-k users,
May i know if Andrew has provide the CRT lense solution or we have to purchase ourselves?
where you get yours? and how much per bottle?
to answer you : Yes, we got the 1st set (opened new for us to practise when we got the lens the 1st time) free. Subsequently, we are to purchase from them once they run out. Ours haven't run out yet.
My daughter is on ortho-k for a week.
Tomorrow is the check up day. I wish that her degree can go back to 0. -
Hi
Will the usage of myopia control lense (top 1/2 for seeing things at a distance and bottom half of the lense is for reading purpose) help to slow down the rate of increase in degree?
Any comment?
Thanks! -
for child or adult? :?

I believe you may be referring to the MyoVision lenses recently in the news - http://news.xin.msn.com/en/singapore/article.aspx?cp-documentid=4038363
Seems studies have shown that it can help slow down the progression rate of myopia. -
Hi Tankee
For my 12 year old son. -
Hi CMF
I am not aware of the Myovision product.
I heard abt the optical control lense from the opitcal shop which i visited abt 2 years ago. But not sure what brand.
This Myovision is a pair of spectacle and not contact lenses right? Do you hv any idea?

MyoVision are lenses that are to be used on spectacles. I understand that it works like those used for adults for long sightedness, ie. bottom half is used for near reading and the top half is used for viewing distant objects. -
Hi! For kids with coloured blind will they be given special treatment during national service. Anyone has any idea?
Tx -
It would depends on their extend of colour blindness and how it would affect their abilities to carry out certain functions.
Most partial colour blinded people are considered as combat fit and served NS as per any other people.
But certain vocations that require perfect colour perception would be out-of-reach for these group of people. -
Hi tankee
Student Health Centre has given us a Colour Visision Deficiency Notification and indicates that DS is unable to distinguish certain colours and shades well. So does it mean that he is partially coloured blind.
Btw, do you know which are the vocation in the NS that required perfect colour perception?
Tx
