My friend's daughter who sat for 2019 PSLE batch that year is a current Secondary 4 student this year (2023), inside Anglican High.

But,
she doesn't do Higher Chinese.
Instead,
she studied Standard Chinese called \"pu hua\" due to her PSLE Chinese score, back then in year 2019 (before the pandemic started). So, even though Anglican High is a SAP school, however, not all Sec 1 students here onwards are allowed to do Higher Chinese.
As for school bus transport,
just give General Office (AH) a call, to obtain the handphone number of the school bus operator, to confirm whether got any school bus go to your house in Tampines.
Because
certain places in Singapore : the AH school bus does not go (travel) there. Not sure about Tampines. Best to clarify yourself directly, with AH Secondary school bus operator. If school bus goes to Tampines, good for u. Otherwise, u will need to explore alternative how-to travel daily transport, to and fro, both ways.
=========================
If a Secondary 4 pupil does not clear his or her Higher Chinese by the end of Sec 4, the disadvantage is :-
If she or he were to proceed to Junior Colleges, after completing O-level,
then
this pupil (student) will still need to study one more extra subject. That is, will still need to study H1 Chinese,
over and above his or her
- either ( 3H2 + 1H1 )
OR
- 4 H2 heavy, demanding A-level subject combination,
which from 2025 year A-level batch onwards, will be based upon the new maximum 70 score points newly twitched A level system,
no longer
under the current maximum 90 score points, anymore. -
Thank you @phtthp for your response
Any parent here whose child is in AHS, can share your opinion on AHS? It's a SAP school, but am surprised the cut-off point has a wider range
How about In terms of inclusivity? My gal has special needs, so am wondering if there is good support from school and teachers ,etc. How about school facilities? Is it well facilitated with ramps and lifts, handicap toilets, etc? Thank you

Hi parents, I am looking for AHS this year Sec1 2023 school booklist. Anyone has a child in Sec1 this year and still has the school booklist, please PM me or share here. An AHS teacher told me that it could serve as a guide for Sec1 2024 students. They will only release the actual booklist in Dec during S1 posting results. Thank you.

Hi parents, can I confirm there is no smart buddy/Ez-link/School card payment at AHS canteen pls? I’ve checked smart buddy website, AHS only accept card payments at the book shop but not the canteen. Thanks!

Hi dear fellow parents and folks. DS is going on to secondary soon. Just wish to ascertain certain pieces of rumour and would be glad to receive any useful info.
1. Is it true, that this Anglican High is the easiest SAP school to enter in Singapore, since its COP can go as far out as 14 points ? The other SAP in the East have better COP like 10 or 11.
2. I also heard something shocking and wonder any of you heard the same thing ? It seems that for the past two years, each year saw at least one student commiting suicide. Whether in school or outside school is unclear. And also heard from the grapevine that, the teachers in this school are so indifferent to such cases by now. As long as the student commiting suicide did not do so during the specific teachers lesson, the teachers would heave signs of relief. If this is so, then its worrying to send our children to there, to a school with suicide-past and indifferent teachers.
3. I myself also saw many times, how Anglican students misbehave in the Tanah Merah Simei areas. From using coarse language (f words, b words) to conversing loudly on the MRT. But i am unsure is this a norm. Has the Christian values or moral education of this school failed so drastically ?
