DD is very tall. Academic is normal. Good & CCA @ Netball.

Any chances if DD through Netball DSA to RGS if her academic is just normal?
Know that RGS COP 4-6 (IP only).

If enter by DSA into RGS, be it Sports, Performance Arts category, etc
        perhaps,

3 or 4 points away from AL 6 (the official Cut off point, for RGS), still ok (acceptable). But, cannot exceed beyond 10 points.
        Why ?

        Because

        1) managing RGS rigorous IP curriculum, is Top most priority.

Not ask you to come in, play Sports, play until ... cannot even cope nor manage RGS curriculum anymore.
If like that, to be honest, then u are better off taking O-level track instead, in some other O-level Secondary school. You also don't want to see your own daughter struggling inside RGS.

If a child’s grades are only considered normal, it is strongly advised not to rely on DSA through arts and sports to enter a top-tier school. Even if they manage to get in, it could be overwhelming.

DSA has never been a shortcut.

              Hi parents,

Any of your child succeeded in using Science to enter
              1) Temasek JC
              2) Dunman High
              3) NUS High

How were your kids scores like in P5 SA2?

Do they consider the Non-weighted assessment in first half of P6 Sem 1 results too?

Yes, NUSH will require applicants to submit their Primary 6 SA1 results.

Hi. Have to check with respective schools. In general should not be. For RgS, no cca commitments for DSA community leadership. They just have extra roles on values-in-action project. Also will be allocated “Community problem-solving” during research modules. (something like that)

Depends on the school. Some schools require the students to join Uniformed Group CCA (e.g., IIRC Dunman High) while there is no such commitment required for some other schools (e.g., IIRC RI).

                      All the best.
