Can one month don’t eat fresh vegetables? I cannot leh.
Haven't really go out do mktg for almost 1 mth. Been relying alot on frozen meat at home and fruits as fibre. Think we got quite enough of meat dishes already..yesterday make mee hoon kueh with homemade meatball soup..Today think just instant noodles with eggs and canned food will do.
Not enough sunlight can make you depressed too. Bring your kids out to the gardens or go meet your mum for lunch or what lah, don’t just stay at home. I’m out of the house for 365 days, staying at home for more than 1 day makes me feel depressed. -
Got boiled soup and bought veg in btween..like passed by then grab some kind.
Can get sun..send kids to school 2x in morning & 2x in afternoon. My mom also say must go out meet friends but I find that I need time for myself as in no rush, quiet for inner peace and then sadly keep thinking in a circle..of life is more than this right :faint: my mom say I liked to travel b4 kids came and that I can go travelling..but still I think will come back to the circular thinking again haiz.
Actually still have things to do..just that suddenly all tone down after being busy since beginning of the year. Almost committed to something to occupy me mentally & physically just that it is likely not happening now. Maybe I should just do whatever I feel like doing just don't think too much..after I complete those works on hands now. -
Also dd staying late till evening almost every day so mostly eat in canteen. Dd2, after school, she has habit of asking to stop at McDonald’s drive thru so not much motivation to cook.
-
Exactly. Idleness makes me more tired actually. I even prepared to work for something that earning me a small salary which minus petrol/parking really pathetic…
-
But no worries kakis…pour it all out, write down then can ‘see’ the issue clearer…

Ahhh… Now I know why you are not motivated to go marketing since your children seldom eat at home nowadays. This situation will only get worse and unlikely to get better. Inevitable that you will feel depressed and keep thinking in circles because as a SAHM, under the same situation, I would have felt that I didn’t have much value-add already.

If I ever reach a point that one whole month I do not need to cook & do marketing, very likely I will feel depressed too because cooking & groceries shopping are two things I enjoy doing. -

Think you are right. I used to be so motivated to try new recipes. Nowadays feeling lazy to even bring the equipment out. Say want to make Belgian waffles, near 2 wks still haven't make. Dd says want to do a trial for her baking tomorrow b4 her home econ test? I think. Last wk, had a day studying Add Math topic feel so motivated today keep asking dd if she needs any help with whichever topic of the subjects. She says don't need..ok I m now watching/reading metaphysics. -

I think you should look at doing \"something\" as a means to improve your own life by having something purposeful to do. Don't think about the pay and whether it's \"worth it\" - people will do hobbies and activities which cost money to give them something to do! In fact, if you can't find a job that suits you, why not find some volunteer work? Your kids don't need you as much now, so a few hours a week of something may be just what you need.

Looking to the future, sometimes volunteer work can lead to paid work, or can give you some skills and exposure that will help build up your resume. Start with that first, and see where it leads you. -

MacD daily doesn't sound very healthy! Maybe you can limit her to 1-2 times a week, and still cook the other days? It's better not to let this kind of habit develop.
Also dd staying late till evening almost every day so mostly eat in canteen. Dd2, after school, she has habit of asking to stop at McDonald's drive thru so not much motivation to cook. -
DS weekdays dismissal at 2.30pm by the time reach home is already tea time kind of timing, so I asked him to eat his lunch in school (or near school) whenever possible before heading home. So he will usually be rotating lunch with whichever friend group is staying back for cca. If no friends free then he will dabao his and mine (lunch) along the way home. Otherwise i am happy to eat an apple alone
I am thinking to go back to full time work hours liao, since i am quite “redundant” at home nowadays.
