I don't have experience at Parkway branch. However, I just enrolled my P1 dd with them at bukit timah since Jan this year. I was really impressed by their holiday program and materials, and my daughter feels good so far. As she just joined, it really takes time to give precise judgment.
If you are interested in the materials you may want PM me, I can scan some for your reference. -
Heard that there is a talk conducted by Learning point at bukit timah plaza regarding to how parents can better understand policy changes in curriculum and how parents can help their child cope with these changes on English. The speaker will be a lecture of NIE. http://www.learningpoint.com.sg/
I checked with Huacheng, as sister company of learningpoint, they has got also allocated some limited seats for Huacheng's parents to register this talk with free of charge. But parents have to approach to Huacheng's counter for tickets before hand. Although it is for English, but it's worth to know how the new syllabus affact the kids, and what we could prepare in advance. -
Hi!
I had posted before asking about Hua Cheng Thomson Plaza branch. But I didn’t gather enough info then. My son joined another tuition centre but I am still thinking of trying the programme in Hua Cheng (Thomson) because it is more convenient for me.
Does anyone has any views on this centre? I think they have 3 branches…what are the differences? I am choosing between Thomson and bukit timah…anyone try any of these two? -

Hi MustKiasuParent,
If you are looking for chinese enrichment centre at Bukit Timah Plaza, there are two centers there, Hua cheng and Xue Lin. I have no experience with Xue lin but you can find some comments from ppls in the forum.
As for Huacheng, my Ds has been with them for two years. Now he is preparing his PSLE, I would say that he has been bult with good foundation within the two years for CL, of course, that is not only attributed to the centre. But Hua cheng did push him very hard, my Ds did quite well in compo and compre in his recent SA1.
His CL is the best subject right now which is the one most close to be ready for the final shoot. Now we just hope he could be able to maintain the current standard until then ...
However, it does not mean that it works for all kids. The centre also encourage parents working together with them, sometime we also could feel the presure... often got sms to be reminded for preparing spellings and checking corrections for ds ... especially before exams. It is really not easy and fun ...
Personally feel the materials are good, targeting to achieve higher marks for school exams. Class size is ok less than 10. My boy said his teacher was quite nice but strict, she explained things very clear and taught them skills on how to score every mark in questions.

Hi, I called up Hua Cheng Thomson and was told that they use different curriculum from the Bukit Timah branch. Any comments on which branch is better?
Thanks. -
Hi
I am also interested in which branch is better, but seems not many ppl have both experience with them. In addition, I think it is not easy to distinguish which one is more fit the kid without personal checking of the materials, teachers and etc.
Or you can send your ds or dd for trial lessons. In my case, I decided to enroll the bukit timh branch after only one trial, since my ds got quite keen to join. -

Hi,
Thanks for all your sharing!
I finally decided to enroll the enrichment class of HC for my Ds, happily to see he found some of his classmates there and the teacher seems also nice. Looking forward to his big progress…
