Thanks tankee for the updated breakdown. I will be registering under phase 2C. For this phase, it will be held over 3 days & I will register on the last day. Just to reconfirm, registration is not done on a first-come first-serve basis right? Also, do we need to bring photocopies of all relevant documents or originals will do?

Please bring the originals, as well as the photocopies, there. Originals are required for verification purpose. As for the copies, it depends on schools. Some schools will insist that you photocopy on the spot (some schools charge you for the service, though). Some schools are fine if you have already photocopied the documents. Hence, to be on the safe side, bring your own copies.

Any idea what is the chance to get into De La Salle in Phase 2B for staying more than 2Km away? As check from last year record seem safe to go in.

from last year record, yes 100% chance to get in under 2B...
but again, we never know ....
and i still remembered from last year's heart thumping event,
there were more chances for 2Cs coz the take up rate for 2B was very low...

Tough fight this year as they reduce enrolment by 1 class. But who knows more parents will want to avoid the tough fight and opt for CCKPS instead.

Yup. It was even noted in the papers if i recall correctly.
Parent volunteers were oversubscribed and they had to
ballot. Many didn't manage to get in due to the balloting
even after completing volunteer hours. I empathize with
them. The hours put in are extremely sacrificial especially
for the working parents. :hugs:

While a few went ahead one more time at Phase 2C, some
others were disappointed and went elsewhere.

When it comes to SV and DLS, the chances are really 50-50
especially without the faster channels/1st timers in P1 reg...

I have old students from my enrichment classes studying in
CCKPS. Errr.. they're all Chinese. All of them said their children
are coping fine and enjoy school. Ethnic balance should be same
across the board with all schools isn't it... especially government
schools?
