          Hi Ningval,

Are you a PV in Rulang? if not then i would say your chances is quite slim but...but this year onwards there is a new rule, Singaporean got two chances for balloting and this is a plus to your application and further more i saw quite a number of PRs staying around that area (maybe to enrol their children into this school) so if you are staying within 1km then i would say go for a try!

          Luck on you friend ๐Ÿ™

Thanks worrymum.....i really pray and hope what you said is true that most of them are PRs. I have applied for PV last year but was rejected, not sure what is the reason. Yes, I am staying less than 1 km. Many said that I should give it a try plus the point that I am Singaporean. But what I am worry now is that *touchwood** if i din get into Rulang, by then i think Shuqun or Jurong wil hve no vancancy, then which nearby school I shd opt for? Fuhua?.......sigh........really worried and anxious now....

why would you say nobody considered Jurong West Pri School when there are already 103 applicants registered with the school?

              :?

                  Hi Yippee,

The most key personnel is Principal and follow by Teachers, I did comment on this school but their aggregate score is quite acceptable in neighborhood school, one thing i'm not quite comfortable the way they handling some event but rowdy students doesn't means that they are not good in study.

If i'm not wrong, the current principal ever mentioned she is going to make this school to become the most popular school in Jurong west area, hmmm...don't know true or not.

After all this school is still in my selection lists.

My choices of school: Rulang, West Grove, Xingnan & Jurong West.

                    Hi Mummies,

Iโ€™m new here and my first choice is Jurong West Primary, my most concern is the distance of the school from my staying place as I have 3 kids hope to get in for my eldest son this year.

Heard from other mummies that last year Jurong West Primary was over whelming and had gone into ballating even within <1km, I stay just right opposite the school and am a Singaporean waiting for Phase 2C most worry I wont have the luck getting a seat if have to go for ballatingโ€ฆ sigh

Wondering how many more around our areas are going to Phase 2C cant believe every year it has to go for balloting when our Gov. keep emphasizing that we do not have enough BB

First, fact is birth rate are down thus not enough babies.

Second, there will always be more applicants than vacancies at popular schools; else they will not be popular. Balloting is a result of this demand and supply issue, nothing to do with whether there are enough babies or not.

Third, every year, MOE ensures that there are more than enough vacancies for all applicants. Unfortunately, there is a limit to how many classes any popular schools can have.

Good Luck in your application and since you know you need to ballot, do have a backup plan.

                      ๐Ÿ˜„

                        Hi chang,

In Jurong West area, besides Jurong West, Rulang and West Grove are also subjected to balloting for Phase 2C for <1km. We shall see the effect of the increase balloting chance for Singaporeans this year....

                        Good luck! :xedfingers:
