All About Full-Time Maids

We normally will leave her at home on Sunday morning when we do marketing. And will be back around noon time. So, during the time she will clean my room before my baby takes his nap when we back from marketing.
We, sometime bring her along to restn and shopping ctr

when my maid just joined us, I will insist that she goes with us for all our outings. But over the years, I will let her choose. Most of the time she will come along with us. Only at times when we go for movies or if she is not feeling well then she chooses to stay at home.
As for holidays, we bring her along for most of our trips and she enjoys them as well. Only during our last trip to HKG did we not bring her. She stayed with my sis for the duration of our trip.
Not advisable to leave the maid alone for prolonged periods. 1 day, ok but over a few days, I wonβt advise that. If my sis or parents could not accomodate my maid, I would have sent her back to the agent for the duration of our trip. -
i remember for my previous maid, one day after she arrived, we went to malaysia for 4 days. she stayed at home alone for 4 days just after arrived! on the 3rd day she called me saying she was scared especially in the evening because my house is quite big and hollow with very high ceiling. indeed in the night the shadow of trees and moon light are all over the house. we had a good laugh about her. but now look back i would not do that again.

Me too, would sincerely appreciate any recommendation.I may actually need to hire a maid to help with chores as I am preparing to spend more time with kids when dd goes to P1 next year. Any good recommendation for decent maids or agency?
I would appreciate if someone can introduce their good maids whose contracts expired and employer do not want to renew because of kids growing up, etc...
Thanks!
currently am looking out for either maids or student care for DD when she starts her P1 next year -

It varies according to agent. Mine used to charge 10 bucks a day but has gone up to 15. Its best to check with the agent u hired yr maid frm. -

Ya, cos my mum's maid was sent back to agency b4 transfer out. They said S$10 per day, that's 2 weeks ago.

When I brought my maid for transfer, agent mentioned they charge 10 dollars a day, but I told them if they wanted to charge me 10 then I will take my maid back and they can jolly well fetch her to the agency if they have a potential employer. It is not stated in my contract that I have to pay for her accomodation etc.. Told them,,, give them maid to transfer and make 100 p.cent while Im maidless and still want to charge. Ive used 3 different agents thru the past few years and none charge for accomodation tho the last agent mentioned it cos they wanted me to sign transfer form fast. I have read some of the post in this forum of employers paying for levy and maids accomodation. I know some agents do state a fee but thats negotiable, they will again charge another 2-3 mths on the maid after transfer. Hah! already making transfer fee plus service chage again frm new customers. Please dnt pay if maid is on transfer. You are already doing a big favour leaving the maid under yr name and paying the levy while they make big bucks.LKVM:
