[quote="Which area are you planning to shift to ? Is your younger child a girl/boy ? If so, then you may want to consider co-ed school. Many factors to consider.[/quote]

Hi all, thanks for the welcoming msg.

          Hi Janet,
I have 2 boys. looking at nan hua & pei hwa.

My concern is more whether will be able to be selected for the pv programme and the timeline of the selection process. This will affect my decision where I decide to move to.

Can you also give me some names of co-ed school for my consideration?
Thanks for the help, 1st time doing this so very little clue how to get started.

          Cheers!

Since you have 2 boys, is there a reason for choosing co-ed schools and not all-boys’ school? If you’re open to all-boys’ schools, then you will have an even wider selection.

no, i have no preference. I’m fine with all boy’s schools, any schools as long as it’s on the top 20.

In fact did consider SJI, but property prices there does not fit my budget.
Catholic High is out as I think their balloting history suggested the competitiveness even as a pv living within 1 click.

              Sigh…any other suggestions?

              Thanks.

to be kiasu to the extreme :

                  1. be an active church member whereby the church can issue support letter for phase 2B; join the SHHK,

                  2. apply to be PV in a few shortlisted schools - then decide which to volunteer when vacancy is available - some schools interview the parents to gauge suitability, just like direct school admission interview ..... some schools ballot the volunteers due to excess demand over limited vacancies. Even then there is no guarantee for a place in phase 2B

                  3. move to within 1 km of the schools that you can qualify as alumni / SHHK member, PV etc ....multiple qualifications and back up.

lol ... extreme kiasu for a start

however you are not too early in plotting to get into the desired school (top 20)

                    Thanks for the tips.
Point 3 is my intention. \"move to within 1km + PV.
Which causes the dilemah as some schools which I've shortlisted will only start the PV selection next year for kids born in 2007. My targeted move out date is by october this year. Hence, I wouldn't want to occur that my pv request is rejected by then I had shifted 1 km to the selected school.

                    Cheers
