Hi, you can consider using Bento tools. Very Kawaii!! That's what mummies at japan did for their kids lunchbox.

My ds bring lunchbox to sch everyday. i packed all sorts of sandwich for different days e.g tuna, chicken, egg mayo, ham/cheese, sometimes wrap these ingredients into crepe or different types of wraps.
Also, onigiri (jap riceball with seaweed n tuna), waffle, pancake filled it w different filling, ready-made pau or mantou, muesli bar, grapes, banana, cherry tomatoes β¦ -
My girl is an athlete and gosh her appetite is like an adult. Rice with miso soup early in the morning. Thus i am always looking for new recipe to feed her. Onigiri sounds interesting and it is too much work?

It all depends if you are a fast worker or not. I usually spent about 30-40 min every morning to prepare breakfast, recess and lunch for my girls. My girl is an athlete and gosh her appetite is like an adult. It will be helpful if your rice cooker has a timer. It gets the rice ready when you wake up and all you need is to add sushi vinegar to the rice, stir thoroughly, cooled, than shaped and wrapped.
For a more professional look, buy the ready wrapper with seaweed inserted. Instructions on how to wrap a triangular onigiri is on the wrapper itself. Hygienic and seaweed remains crisp when eating. -

This sounds very interesting. I usually pack cakes, buns or cookies for my DD's recess. But need something more filling for lunch, before CCA. Her school's canteen is a madhouse every lunch and not enough time to buy n eat before CCA starts.
Where can I get the professional wrap that comes with instructions? Advice much appreciated!dasalo:

Can I name the shop here? Should be no problem blah...??
Try Sol Mart (Korean supermarket) at Tampines 1, Kallang leisure park and Orchard Cineleisure (don't know if it is still there). Ask for ν¬μ₯κΉ - Po Jang Kim (seaweed wrap). 50 pcs for S$18.90 costly?? but convenient. -
Thank you very much! Will look out for it.

You can pack:-
My worry : is the food still okay for my DS to eat at 330pm recess time? as I prepared it at 5am plus... :?
My Answer is NO. Pack dry food instead unless there is someone to heat up the food before he leaves for school. Not wise to leave food without refrigeration prepared since 5 am.
Somehow worry as that day I packed noodles from canteen at about 7am morning, eat it for lunch, found it has some funny smelly (spoiled)
Sure spoil...packed noodles advisable to eat within 2 hrs.
So I dont have other choice, have to prepare lunchbox for him everyday.. as I also afraid he might have gastric if continue like this...:
1) Energy bars
2) Cereal in airtight container + pack of UHT milk
3) Onigiri if left in refrigerator after preparation (can be eaten cold)
4) Bread/Bun
5) Cakes
6) Cookies
7) Apples (whole)
Peanut butter sandwich
etc..etc..
