fresh milk

Cold drinks will momentarily contracts the wind-pipe and may induce coughing, especially on young children and those with respiratory issues.
-
if they are healthy and not nursing a cold or cough, yup most times they drink cold.
If they are not feeling well, will warm the milk up for them. -
For mine, I actually pour out the milk (straight from the fridge) and let the cup of milk sit for a while on the table. So at least when the kids take it, its not so cold.

dear parents,
when do you start to give kids fresh milk? from 6 yrs old ? :?
my son (6.5yrs) still drink formula...
no idea when to switch to fresh milk? -
yup⦠have oso heard its not good for kids to drink beverages directly, after taken out from the fridge.
but how to warm it??? wat i heard was to place the required amt of milk in a container/cup and soak under lukewarm water?? -
For my gal who's coming 6yrs old this year, she started fresh milk since 5years old. I just leave the milk out for 5mins then she will drink.
For my son who is coming 2, I will warm up the fresh milk in a cup of hot water coz he doesn't like cold stuffs yet.

My children cannot take cold beverage. The elder boy wld hv more skin peeling (now that he has outgrown coughing) and the younger one wld hv tummyache n his tongue starts to have the altas again.

so far my kids have no problems with cold stuff. DS use to down a cup of yoghurt every morning. But for that I will take an unopened cup from the fridge while he is washing up. When he eats it, itβs still slightly chilled but not cold.
was told dairy products breed bacteria very quickly, so I prefer to warm the milk over low fire in a pot when they are nursing a cold. No need to be steaming hot, just so that the milk is like room temp. -

Yes my kids also prefer yogurt from the fridge as long as its not chilling cold
but for milk a big NO
though my DH prefer straight from the fridge
Hmm... maybe cos I allow my kids to drink their milk cold, that's why they are guzzling it like it's water.
