...think too many PVs and old boys around... catholics only make up less than 20% of the school population, if i didn't remember wrongly... -
if CHS increase their intake to 3xx, then parents need not be so strees up.:(

I know some parents complaining about SJIJ...but seldom heard anything about MS...
When my son was taking the entrance exam in yr 2008 for transfer to MSHS , there were five other boys from SJIJ taking the same exam. Overheard their mothers' conversation, they wanted to transfer their boys to MSHS because their boys are poor in their chinese, wanted to change them to a SAP school. If I am not wrong, they were not selected because the entrance exam also required them to take a chinese test. -

Well at least it is still 2BOh God, I am so sad that as a Catholic, I have problems sending my son to a Catholic school within 1 km of my home...why why why?

I know what you mean although my situation is that there are no catholic schools nearby (although \"nearby\" is relative).

We are staying in Tampines, next to St Hilda.
But we prefer to send our boy to Catholic school.
Seems like, the nearest are Maris Stella and St Stephen?
Maris Stella sounds very popular this year. Our chance should be low.
Is St Stephen OK?
Or is there any other Catholic boy/mix school near Tampines? -

Catholic High gives priority to Parent Volunteers at appeal stage (waiting list), no priority for Catholics. One of the moms called CHS and heard this from the lady who picked up the phone. Plan your strategy well.
