I read about the maid who was \"trapped\" in the basement where she slept and water rose up to her nose level

still don't understand why trapped? door locked by boss at night? :?
Maybe she locked her door when she went to sleep than panicked when the rain flows in too fast and forgot how to open door.. But really poor thing..

Maybe with the flood, the door got jammed with the weight of the water behind it?

i think it should due to the water pressure that cause the door not able to open...

Really pity those property owner affected by the flood and trying to sell/rent now..

But... if you look at the thread on properties near those top schools in bukit timah. They are not detered by the flood.

Wow… big ticket item if flood comes in. Imagine $ spent on getting new furniture, electrical stuff, fixing, damage done to parquet flooring?, the electrical points as short circuit… The car that is not covered by insurance???

I think those electrical, furniture shop and contractors must be praying for the flood.
