Hi Sautille,
Thank you so much for sharing your info regarding DSA Interview questions. You are a generous person who believes in sharing. Salute to you.
Hi match3frog,
You are right in saying that it is up to each member to share info or not. When a person wants to receive but never give, he or she chooses to be so. But there is nothing wrong in pointing it out, in a polite way.
You will certainly agree that forums will lose their value if everybody decides NOT to share their info but only keep on asking others to share. That was the point kiasu_2010 was trying to highlight.
Hi Mathsparks,
I appreciate you for being candid in telling why you are unable to share your sonβs interview questions. Perfectly OK. I agree with you that this forum is a beautiful platform to exchange our views. Let us keep it free of rancour.
Have a great day, everyone. -

Hi YKiasu,
HCI has its test from 8am till 2pm. RI will start registration from 2pm but will start its paper at 2.30pm. It will be a mad rush to get from one place to the other. To any parent who is facing this predicament, I spoke to HCI today who advised such parents to tell the HCI teacher-in-charge that they will need to get their sons out by 2pm to rush over to RI. I also spoke to RI who advised that parents should try to get their sons to RI by 2.30pm latest.
By the way, can you please find out from your friends what type of questions were asked by HCI last year? For example, for English, were they grammar or vocab or comprehension or composition writing? For Maths, were they Maths Olympiad type of questions?
Thanks for your help.[/quote]
Found out that you will be required to write an essay about a picture in both Chinese and English. The Math qns are manageable but draining as my fren's son was no Math Olympiad student.
Hope it'll be clear sky with no traffic this Sat

Peace on KSP!
This is a parents forum and we can maintain decorum. Most of us have been benifited and some take the pains to contribute. Thanks to all. :celebrate:
Children could be a bit immature - they tend to see things in black and white and may not be able to emphathise. They are in the learning/growing curve. Lets have the heart to forgive them and watch them grow by realising from their mistakes. And that can never be achieved by name calling.
If we as adult let our ego take charge of our wisdom - we are only letting the children get defensive. If we think someone is not doing the right thing we should just say so politely.
There are times when we come across post by who we know are children which seem rude or arrogant. Let one reader to whom the post is not addressed to (third party) take the responsibility to gently prod the poster
eg- ( maybe say \"----, i feel that the tone of ur post is impolite/ hurting. Could you be a bit more sensitive \") etc. Focus on the post not the poster.
Maybe in todays world - \"it takes a forum to raise a child\"
One concerned Kiasu parent :lovesite: -
All the best to students taking their second round of selection test/s this Saturday. Have plenty of rest the night before.

If the time conflict is between RI and NUSH or HCI and NUSH, does it mean we need to forego one? And between HCI and NUSH, which one will you forego?

Weather forecast for this Sat : Late morning and early afternoon showers with thunder.
Source : http://weather.nea.gov.sg/Forecast3Days.aspx
If their forecast is near accurate, then those who are rushing between HCI/NUSH & RI may want to plan alternative route in case flood / traffic jam due to storm.
Hope the weather will turn fine on that day. Good luck to all. -

Tough decision. Really depends which culture your DS prefers
For me it will be NUSH anytime . . . I dun think my DS can survive the Chinese culture and I m sure he is no Humanities student :imdrowning:

How was the DSA on 24th everyone? Any tea session from NUSH this year? And who are those invited this year?
