Like to ask if anyone heard abt this ruling on Statutory declaration šŸ˜ž

Got a fren who has done PV in a school > 2km from her home address. Her in laws stay 1-2km from the school. To buy \"double insurance\", she had gone to MOE to do a statutory declaration that the kid is staying with her inlaws.

However, she was told tat for statutory declaration, it can only be used in Phase 2C and not 2B. So if balloting happens for Phase 2B she will be considered as > 2km. :!: But if balloting happens for Phase 2C, she can be considered for 1-2km based on the statutory declaration. :?

Anyone can share on this? :?:
I went MOE's website to read through the regulations again. There is nothing stated that it apply to phase 2C only.

        :?

parents gave up trying cos they dowan to go through
the hassle of balloting. If more people think lidat then
          you got more chan.. šŸ˜‰
status.. no status.. school refuse to reveil!! :x

For this Phase I doubt many will give up.. balloting is a 99.99% sure thing.. but now don't even have idea at what distance... šŸ˜ž

Ya, me too. I read the regulations again. No mention of Phase anywhere. It came as a shock to us too

                Issit?

If she has done her PV and is eligible for 2B, the statutory declaration should
be valid nonetheless, right? Have not heard that they'd revert to original home
address should there be a balloting in 2B. 😐

If the child is cared for by the in-laws then should still go by that distance,
since the statutory declaration has been made as such.

                😐

Can't be true.. coz statutory declaration was one of the reasons I was quoted by the school for not being able to confirm the number of potential PVs based on distance..

                    😐

Can call school to ask if you need to ballot at > 2km or between 1-2km or wat? School should reveal. Actually, for KS parents who has back-up plan or more than 1 choice, can still withdraw and put in 2nd choice. If you do not have another choice and need to wait for next phase, just cross fingers :xedfingers: and toes and pray for the best šŸ™
