I didn't see my ex-teachers around last week...maybe they retired donkey years ago liao. If those teachers remind me, better still. They can vouch that I'm ex-student. -

For my fren who reg her girl at CHIJ TPY, they asked her for progress report cards for K1 and K2 too!
Another forummer had same experience, but with a different school:

Heard from someone that her friend had an elder kid in a branded sch. But when it came to the younger one, she forgot to register for phase 1 until a day later. Next day appeal to principal but principal can only say ‘sorry, see you at P2C’. Apparently once you miss phase 1, you drop straight down the queue to phase 2C.
So now she super fed-up with herself :x for making such a careless mistake. -

That's very surprising. For my #2, I don't even need to appear to register. I remember start of year, school already gave out form thru' elder kid to ask if any siblings joining and to complete with photocopy of BC. Later, before Phase 1 registration start, school gave out form to elder kid to bring home to complete and register. I do not even need to go school on actual registration day. I got back the form thru' my elder kid with orientation date given. Hassle free!Heard from someone that her friend had an elder kid in a branded sch. A handful of frens from diff schools also had same hassle-free experience. The schools do not wait till actual registration day for parents to register siblings. It is usually done thru' the elder child. -
Yes, my fren also registered her #2 in the same hassle free way. She could just relax on the actual 2 days of Phase 1 registration as she had the confirmation slip already!

Maybe she was being kiasu and afraid that her older child might forget to hand in the form? So to play safe, she wants to register personally but end up missing the date?

If really kiasu, will get registration form from elder child and go to school to hand in to general office herself before the date. KS will always register earlier than late, right? -

I'm not really sure what happened. It's a raw nerve. Not something that 3rd parties dare to probe. But I believe that there jobs in the market that consumes your energy so much that you can even forget your spouse's name.BigDevil:

OUCH. If she doesn't get in for phase 2C then she can really kick herself silly.Heard from someone that her friend had an elder kid in a branded sch. I was just thinking the school I choose for first child, really largely weighted upon gender of second child.
Guess there are some, but not many, with children of both genders who decide to PV in 2 schools cos prefer to send kids to single-sex schools. Siong.
