should be a mixture of both but more PVs than GRL..
it was said in earlier post that the PVs accepted were something like 130+.. even with dropouts still super oversubscribed...
Wish them all the very best. :xedfingers: -

i think it is very irresponsible for the school to take in so many PVs and then have to ballot them to disappoint themverykiasu2010:

My take is IF the school informed all the PVs ala mass breifing on the total # taken then the responsibility is ultimately on the parents. Otherwise, really I don't understand the rational behind the massive PVs accepted either..i think it is very irresponsible for the school to take in so many PVs and then have to ballot them to disappoint them

so frustrating to even look.. :frustrated: -
There are schools as follows:
1. accept whatever number of PVs.
2. control and limit the number of PVs.
3. donβt even allow PVs.
For 1, School will have a large pool of PV. Hence, a huge resource for free work.
For 2, Fair deal. School gets whatever number they deem successful based on historical stats.
For 3, Perhaps the fairest. School only consider those whom offered their service to the larger community (e.g grassroots). Else, everyone else is in the same level of playing field.
Whatever the case, it is always good to find out which system is adopted by the school and see if it matches with your individual values/beliefs.
Best of luck to all in 2B. -
I am one of the PV in West Grove Primary School, i was told that this year they only accept no more than 40 PVs for year 2012 P1 enrollment rather than 100 over PVs. Possibility they knew some fairer allocation needed to be done.
I can sense that they are carefully restructure and at least they already take action on this.
Well, i attended the briefing for PVsβ task and i do talked with some parents and from there i realize that parents there majority are quite high demand in academic.
Hope to see this school can produce more Genius! in future.
West Grove εͺε! εͺε! εεͺε! we can do it! yep! -

Agreed but then there are too many grass root leaders as well right... when I called up school they said this time grass root leaders also too many :([/quote]but grass roots the school can't really control right
