My son has been in this school for a few years and i have not heard of serious cases of bullying. However, most boys take school boys and it is common that the older boys \"verbally bully\" the younger ones. I think it maybe a boys' thing that they talk casually, sometimes not too sensitive with their words. doubt there is any vicious intent but teach your child to stand up for himself. that is when he feels uncomfortable, come back and share with you and you talk to the counsellors if need be. they are approachable and professional. the boys are aware bullying is incorrect and i feel this aspect is part and parcel of growing up too. meaning, we can't protect them from a certain group of people (the bullies) forever and must teach them to take care and protect themselves.

as for the school's balloting status, you can see below for this year's results. for the past few years, there has always been a need to ballot at phase 2B as well....
see attached website of school, look under news and announcement section.

            Hi Hi

My son will be going to P1 in 2011. Anyone is sending your kids to the afterschool care within the school?

              hi hi,

any parents in AMK? the current school bus wants to pick up my son from AMK at 6.10am cos their route goes from AMK > Yio Chu Kang > Thomson > Braddell to avoid CTE.

Was wondering if we can charter our own school bus so our kids can sleep more.. 🙂

              thanks,
              Jess

i don't think you can charter school buses as they have 'authorised' school buses for each school. Maybe you can think of chartering taxi instead.

                    ReganMummy:
I wanted to send my boy to this school but I also heard of some bullying cases, especially Secondary kids to the primary kids, all these from a Teacher teaching there who happens to be my bro-in-law's friend.

But, boys will be boys, I personally didn't think of it as an issue but my hubby is dead against it.
So I'm dropping the idea of sending him there..
I heard of bullying cases in this sch also...ever tot of sending my kids to this sch but not now. Friend told me he saw canteen fights..my neighbour who is from this sch did not leave a gd impression either..full of vulgarities, likes to spit ard(omg) and aggressive(in a wrong way!).
                    I like the 3 in 1 though(pri-sec-jc).
