        http://www.shps.moe.edu.sg/

        Phase 2B

        Total Registered for Phase 2B 68 (within 1km - 24, between 1km to 2km - 23 & outside 2km - 21)

        Note:

        1) Balloting will be held on 28 Jul 10 (Wed) at 9am for those staying between 1km to 2km. Parents are strongly encouraged to come at 9am sharp to witness the balloting. Please bring along the duplicate application form (the copy that was given to parents) for the marking of attendance.

        2) Applicants staying within 1km are all successful.

        3) Applicants staying outside 2km are not successful. Thanks for the interest shown in St Hilda's Pri.

So the odds is 23 applicants for 19 seats for those staying between 1km to 2km.

:!: :!: :!: I thought parents of > 2km will be informed before the end of the Phase to allow them to try elsewhere if they have other options open... :stupid:

p/s. I'm not registering in St Hilda... Althou I like the transparency in terms of #, I just hope the school I registered in is not going by the same rule...

          Good luck!

Actually on the 22nd - the school website had indicated the various phases applications, at the time it was 23 - 1km and 17 - 1-2km, thus if you are > 2km and have other choices for 2B (example RC or PV in another school), should withdrawn and try elsewhere. Thus should always check the school's website for more updated infor rather than just MOE website.

I knew of a friend withdrawn her application and tried Gongshan and got in... šŸ™‚

Not all schools do that. Imagine, for a popular school, how many parents will the school need to call up? I think, as far as they are concerned, the onus is on the parents to check, not on the school to call the parents up.

Not all school's website include such details.. and maybe just maybe not all parents were aware?? But then again maybe those who did not switch did not have other options in 2B... just felt sad for them..

                sorry I kpo.. šŸ˜‰

OIC.. so far for my friends the schools they tried were like that so I took for granted that was the normal practise...

Geez... qms.. some school's even if you call still no reply.. gotta wait for MOE update... this is getting me worried..

BTW, I just read somewhere that you are also registering this year. Did not know that! Congratulations is in place, no?

Yes even I was surprised... she registering her girl but then her boy oredi in RMPS so quite simple for her leh

:congrats: qms for ur gal :celebrate:
Yes, LKVM and RRMummy, I registered my girl this year under P1, so, it's smooth sailing for me. However, it was really nerve wrecking last year when we applied for our boy because we were in P2C, and for the first time, the school had to conduct balloting for those in the < 1 km category. The fight was like 2 places for every 3 applicants. Thank goodness my boy managed to get in.

:thankyou: for you both, nevertheless, and :rahrah: for both of you.

BTW, RRMummy, heard anything from your school?

I hope to hear good news from you, as well as LKVM in P2C! :xedfingers: šŸ™ :rahrah:

                        Officially, :congrats: qms..

Wow.. I can imagine how nerve-wrecking it was for you last year..

I'm still waiting for MOE to update website to know our fate.. but really if hoping all will be well then I also can sit back and relax when its DD2's turn in 2 years time..

thanks for the šŸ™ and :xedfingers:
