2010 P1 Registration Exercise for 2011 In-Take

Hi vicki,

I know how to write the correct strokes of Chinese, but sorry don't know how to count how many strokes . Each time near CA/SA, the tutor will have to remind son (P1/P2) how to count each stroke. I hope this counting strokes will be a thing of the past...can't imagine having to face this again next year.

If lets say i do PV for this year’s registration and due to unfortunate circumstances, i didnt manage to get into the school (aka balloting kenna thrown out) (in 2010 registration), can i use the same PV hours to registration for my 2nd kid in the following year (in 2011 registration)?

Aka - Both kids are one year apart.

Unfortunately not. IF you see the MOW rules, they specify the period of serving PV for the registration every year.

Pretty unlikely I think. On the PV registration it is usually clearly marked the name of child and year of admission. Personally, I don't think it should carry over either, the philosophy being; 1 PV completion = 1 shot on goal

\"How can I qualify as a parent volunteer for registration at Phase 2B?

In order to qualify for registration at Phase 2B as a parent volunteer, you would have to be registered as a parent volunteer with the school not later than 1 July 2009 and given at least 40 hours of voluntary service to the school by 30 June 2010 if you are registering your child in the 2010 Primary One Registration Exercise. You can approach the school of your choice directly to enquire about their parent volunteer scheme.\"

But it only says when you mus register by and when you should finsih the 40hours - doesnt really say that you cant use it again...

Pai sey - anyone knows where i can get more info on this? Txs in advance.

It helps me and DD1 alot whenever we are learning tingxie and making sure that our sequence is right. Plus point is it has a step to step function of how to write so it will also teach how to count the strokes for individual character. Uses pinyin / # of strokes to search for words..

It even encourages my DD2 to play with it since she sees the fun that che2 has with it. :love:

yup referring to the one you quoted above. So it says for registering in 2010 - that seems like a deadline to me...
