It is my personal opinion, and perhaps the "personal opinion" of many others, haha!

ok, got it, it is also my personal opinion - about the piano -
buying piano is like buying a car, resale value matters to me
no COE is needed though -

Hi friends, I wish to buy a piano for my little girl whom has just started to learn piano, I know the good brands are Yamaha and Cristofori...can anyone who owns any of these piano let me know which is better buy....? Thank you very much.
Maybe you would like to check out Hailun. Although a China brand and made in China, it is gaining a good reputation for value-for-money pianos.
By the way, I am not in anyway associated with the brand. About 2 1/2 years back, I had the same dilemna when looking for a piano for my two kids. This prompted me to look into some piano forums. But I ended up buying a Wendl and Lung upright, an Austrian-owned brand, but also manufactured by Hailun in China. I have no issues with it so far.
But, of course if you are talking about re-sale value, they will never beat the Yamahas and Kawais. Then said, these pianos are much more expensive.
For a start, Hailun is good enough for kids just beginning to learn the piano - in my opinion. -

[/quote]I think Cristofori is OEM from Pearl River (China). Can't be made in Japan. The big twos in Japan are Yamaha & Kawai.
