Anyone know the breakdown of Pei Wah under P2b?
Applicants for:-
? less than 1km
? within 1 -2km
? more than 2km?
I’m staying within 1km of Pei Wah… But seems that even "study" the past balloting history also doesn’t seems to apply this year. Plus, the facts there are many new properties rising in the same area… don’t know how it will be for 2C. Haiz… -
Congratulations to parents whom balloted and got into their school of choice…
My good friend texted me, his son failed to get into NYPS despite his wife clocked more than 70 hours of PV…it was such a heart breaking experience for them now…only 7 seats for 22 ballots (2B, >2km).
I do not know what to say, how to advise…just spoke to him, asking him to try a nearer and good school within 1 km from his home…I feel sorry for them, though it will be my turn next year…

Fabbymum, has your good friend put his kid on nyps wait list? There shld be some priority for PV in the wait list, I hope…

Hi Voovoo,
No, we were too late to submit the PV application for NYPS only this year…I did the online submission in Mar 2010, but was told that we have to serve 2 years under their programme…
I did a total of 8 to 10 PV application submission…we were prepared to move within 1 km of the school if we had the PV, but unfortunately, we did not get into most of them…therefore, we are settling for not such a popular school…
Yes, told my friend to Q under waiting list…that’s the least he could do now…he lives in Bedok, by the way…

Congrats to those mummies who got in under 2B balloting this afternoon. Really feel so sad for those who couldn't get in. Esp, those mum/dad who put in so much effort or time for PV & yet this is what they get! Pls don't give up. I am sure your prayers will be answered. All the best to you ...

for desperate measures, go buy an apartment within 1 km now, and hope that Phase 2C within 1 km has no balloting and go talk to the principal too, so that she fully understands ....... if any parent is die hard fan of NYPS
desperate circumstances call for desperate solution - legally aboveboard -
I fully understand the disappointment of those PV who were not successful at the ballot today
Please do not let the disappointment becomes a bitterness in your heart
There is no perfect system in the world, and this is not the end of the world.
Everyone has to work within the system; some gain from it and some SEEMINGLY lose out for the moment
But in time to come, this is no set back in a bigger scheme of thing for the kids. Work hard and you could be back on transfer or back due to GEP transfer … or you can still shine in whatever school you ended up with
Last year Qifa primary school produced the top student
