my girl was studying in concord pri during p1 - p3. now she is in one of the sap school in the east. the experience are very different. the teachers in concord are very caring and attentive towards the kids. anytime if the kids not doing well, they will update the parents by phone and arrange for extra lessons. My girl really misses her teachers there. everyday got challenging math homework to discuss in school. i sort of regretted transferring her to the sap school. here teachers do not bother, no homework, no phone , no update of her progress. the whole class' result dropped, her teacher only selectively gives extra lesson to the extremely poor students because she is only free on wed afternoon. really wonder why neighbourhoold school can do it why not a sap school? the sap school only forcus on 3 best classes...

why transfer when she was doing well and you are all please with concord? :?

have you consider the possibility the \"whole class' result dropped\" is due to higher standard in assessments? Being a kiasu parent, I went through SA papers from various \"Top\" schools, and the standard or \"level of difficulty\" varies.

are the 3 best classes are GEP classes?

there are always something that can be done

eg
- transfer her to another school in the neighbourhood
- talk to the principal and request for a transfer to another class
etc etc

hi thks it is good to know the sch ranking but for me dls is a stone’s throw away from my house so all the more i want it for convenience as my son has problem getting up early in the morning (esp when he goes morning session in p1). i am just thinking ahead for my kids convenience of course this sch used to be so well known for its academic coz my nephew nieces have studied there b4.

not for DLS anymore...

beginning next yr 2011, all 6 levels will be in the morning session.

This is also one of the reason why I choose DLS over SV. morning session is good!

long time no \"see\"...... :lol:

yes, i know the traffic at that part of the roads are horrifying so
will let ds take the school bus so tat less hassle trying to make it
to school on time. :roll:

relocation to Teck Whye is jan 2011 till 2012 Dec.
They will move back to their brand new premises in Jan 2013.
