Hi im a father who travels frequently and is quite blur about the pri 1 registration process. I live within 1km of tao nan and have been quite set in trying to send my son to the school since he was born.. however in recent weeks, i have been informed that catholic high has become very popular. im an old boy of cat high. Can kaisu parents pls advise me on which school shld i send him to? pls help im very confused and lost

if i were you, i will move and send my boy to cat high. it is a top school and has affliation! It is definitely a better choice than tao nan. FYI, this year tao nan phase 2B required balloting within 1km. -

Catholics is a better choice for it's affiliation to the secondary school and the fact that you are at Phase 2A as compared Tao Nan where you still probably need to ballot at < 1km.
I would also ask how many children you have? If all are boys then Catholic will be a clear winner....but if you have a girl....then you would have to think about which school you wanna send your gal to... -
Tactic: register CH at Phase 2A, and watch out for TN at Phase 2C (or 2B is you are in the clan/PV)
But rationally, I think you may want to visit the schools (e.g. open house) to find out for yourself whether CH is one that you would like to send your kids to. CH is a great school, but as verykiasu2010 has said before, one man’s meat is another man’s poison… -
Just to ask, how do you know when are the open house for the schools?

:goodpost: & Good suggestion by mommyNg.
ralf2, you can find out about the travelling time for your DS in the meanwhile & work out the required logistics for a better assessment. :celebrate: -
Hi,
I am just wondering during the balloting, will they call out the name of the child or the number allocated to you when you register in the school? -
