sweetiepie:
i am so mad, the sap school my girl is in now is so disorganised. so many times my daughter is not informed of no cca wasted half hr waiting in school. i had never experienced that with concord before. the cca teacher so ya ya tell me to call the in-charge as it is not her responsibility to inform the students. everytime my girl cannot go, i will sure message her. i dun understand why such an attitude. now still waiting for the in-charge to call me...
Hi sweetiepie, my mum's ex-neighbour's kids go to THAT school. For her first child, teacher was siao on and there were loads to do everyday. Parents had to stay up to help coach her in her work until 12am every night. For the 2nd child, teacher was relaxed and life I understand is very easy...So I think this is very teacher specific. -

hi you know which school my girl is in. In fact, i would rather she is given more homework than nothing. i have reminding the teacher sooo many times to give them work to do. now the teacher’s attention is not on the average student but rather on the extremely poor student, she does not have the spare times to do more than one extra class. this is quite a sad thing cause concord teachers always arrange something for the children at their expense. so far in this school, nothing good about it. food is more expensive, not much notices or newsletter. when give will always be more than 3 notices togethers. After signing the notices, it is always not collected, so now i do not want to sign anymore. just now called teacher on why nobody informed my girl when no cca, teacher said she overlooked. Looks like she always overlooked. What to do now… -
Just rec’d call from SV today that my PV application was not successful. Anyway I did not pin too much hopes since SV P2B need to ballot.
My hse is just in front of SV, now my most headache is shd I risk to register under P2C and go for P2CS if unsuccessful OR I should register at Concord under P2C (their past record takes in all even > 2km) then waitlist at SV. My main concern is distance as we do not have helper and I intend to enroll my son at nearby before/after sch care so sch care teachers can bring them to sch w/o having to spend extra on sch bus.
Any advice for me? -

SV is one of the oldest if not the oldest school in CCK. Hence, there are many old boy/girl as is evident from the high Phase 2A numbers. It is the highest in CCK. The others are newer schools so of course not so many old boys/girls.
Sancai, the question is probability and only you can decide for yourself. There are people who happen to be the 1 person to be balloted out and there are people who balloted-in out of 1:3 chances so this is a risk factor no amount of preparation or statistics can help. Btw, did SV explain why your PV application is unsuccessful since you live so close ? -
Sancai:
wah it seems SV becoming more strict with pv selection, within 1km still rejected. Any reason given?Just rec'd call from SV today that my PV application was not successful. Anyway I did not pin too much hopes since SV P2B need to ballot.

Phase 2c is based on luck la... If u have the guts to go thru ballot. Go for it but bear in mind that plcs will be taken up at schs like concord & cckps for ph2c supplementary. Most prob left with teck why's n kranji. U may want to check out these schools too. -
my heart dropped aft seeing today’s reg results. 1st choice (YTPS) application exceeded no. of vacancies, and 2nd choise (UPS) is going fast, too. Gal has been saying she wants to go to YTPS since beg of yr. Guess now have to keep fingers crossed and see if any more will turn up for YTPS/UPS tmr and Wed.

Maybe you should have a 3rd choice as backup too.
Good luck yewteemum :xedfingers:
