All About Pri 1 Registration for Foreigners & Phase 3
-
I have a daughter ready for P1 registration next year. Currently we're foreigners (expats) who just arrived into this country.
From reading the newbie posts, I see most instructions for P1 registration are for citizens and PRs.
How does the registration process for foreigners work? Yes, I see the priority for foreigners are last. But what is the process? timeline/schedule?
Also, I see from here http://www.guidemesingapore.com/permanent-residence/singapore-pr-pros-and-cons.htm that I can apply for PR six months from now, and possibly get PR next year. But that may already be too late for my daughter's P1 registration.
Is anyone or has anyone been in this same situation? Any advice? -

Any parents have experience in phase 3 registration? Want to know how early shall I go to queue up? 2am, 4am, 6am?
Thanks! -

Sorry, I personally do not have experience with Phase 3.
IMHO it really depends on the school that you are aiming at. If it is one of those which have vacancies even after Phase 3 (historically), then you can go there after a good night rest.
BTW, which school are you aiming at? -
Julia Wu:
If you want to go to Guangyang (which still has 112 places), you can stroll there at 8am. If you are eyeing those with only 10 places left, then please start lining up by 6am. No personal experience but heard about this fr others.Any parents have experience in phase 3 registration? Want to know how early shall I go to queue up? 2am, 4am, 6am?

Then again, foreigners may not be as kiasu as locals thus, no need to be too early? :?
