Well... on the contrary... my relative shared her past experience to me... and her gal had graduated from the elite pri n sec sch... so no worries I guess.... since she don't have to account for what's already past.

Parents just want the best for their kids... help their kids open the door... the rest is up to them...

Care to share how it happened? At which phase did your relative registered? Did they buy a place in the school or did they buy a place for PV? It makes a difference...

I wouldn't call it \"buy\" a place... sounds very fraudulent... later someone here call MATA... ๐Ÿ™‚
Not sure if I shld share the details... since lotsa \"sour grapes\" around...
She's not an old girl... her kid is 1st child... she's a SAHM... very active in ALL GRL/PV/Clan... and lotsa of PR work... and she was given confirmation before Phase 2B.... and very active in PSG after that...
She has \"retired\" from all these as her kid is in overseas U (scholarship) now.
Not every parents can do ALL GRL/PV/Clan... so I take my hat off her.
I don't think she got her kid in, at anyone's expense.

Just for open discussion... keep an open mind... different paths for different ppl :)
hahaha...actually only one very sour grape around!

I certainly prefer to be the one being soured by grapes, rather than the one souring grapes. Too confusing :scratchhead: ? Nobody will envy a person doing badly. Being targetted meant that we are doing well :celebrate: .

wow, very interesting posts everyoneโ€ฆ IMHO, everyone has a thing to say about the MOEโ€™s rules be they fair or unfair. Itโ€™s fair if you were an old boy and got priority at 2A, and unfair if you never attended a good school that you are now eyeing. Blame your parents? Itโ€™s fair if you were a born Catholic and got priority at Catholic schools, yet unfair that you are a born Catholic and still couldnโ€™t get into Cat High or St Nicks. PVs think they should get priority for clocking hours but what makes PVs think they are better than born Catholics or clansmen who practice the faith and values all their lives? Are PVs willing to take the plunge and believe in the religion or values of such schools? Then PVs/grassroots people would not need to volunteer at all since they would then join as church or clan members. If everyone starts complaining to the MOE and make them fed up, MOE will just have a Phase 2C for everyone and then the old boys, current students etc will cry foul. I still think the fairest rule the MOE has implemented so far is the 2 ballot slips for citizens.

My point exactly. Then the PRs / foreigners should take up citizenship... serve NS etc. Some find each rule fair, some find it unfair... ๐Ÿ˜‰

i think what was meant is that PR parents did not serve NS and their children will only serve later...
