Ah, that's interesting. Bc the name I recognise(that got into the special round) is from that Interactive Math Exploration centre, a Pri 6 boy from Catholic High School. The rest of the students from that centre took the test at NUS High, so maybe he did too. Doubt he would have gone to CHS sec to take it if he was under an Enrichment Ctr instead of representing CHS.

When will the participants find out how they performed? As in whether they received gold, silver, bronze etc? Do they find out from the school when it reopens?

The full result will be out after they have finished marking round 2.

If i am not wrong,

% gold: top 3%
% silver: next 7%
% going into R2: 5%

So even if your child didnt get into R2, at least there's still a good chance of getting silver.

Agree .. RI must have realised the impact of NUS High's NMOS at P5, where the maths geeks have first exposure to a major Maths competition, and are bought-in long before the SMOPS and RI World Maths at P6. Now RI has RMSO at P5 too! Would HCI do the catching up by introducing another Maths competition at P5? And then NUSH counters with one at P4 ...

3 of this year's Singapore IMO's particpants came from NUSH, 2 from RI, 1 from ACSI. In years to come, I think even more will come from NUSH (just look at the SMO Junior top 10 this year! I am quite sure NUSH is Junior Team first).
