Just went to register DS at Keming and was told that I’m the 80th applicant within 1km (for 78 vacancies). But the nice lady mentioned that there may be withdrawals, so hopefully, there’s no need to ballot.

Really surprised at the overwhelming response this year at many schools!

ya, birth rate is one of the lowest in 2004, but also mainly due to school cutting down class size in order to go single session?

Actually if I didn't get selected for PV, it'll be a toss between BTPS and Keming. Keming holds its own in Bukit Batok area. If any kid can get into the top 2 classes, I pretty sure this sch will be watching their performance like a hawk. Not bad what.

dunno leh.... I find their cirriculum quite relax, which is the main reason why we opt for Keming over BTPS and PEPS

The form teacher is also in our facebook. wahahaha

It seems that many of the 'hot' schools leave much of the teaching to tuition teachers - students are expected to already know stuff. At Keming, the topical tests seem to help get kids to learn quite well. Or at least so I heard.

Also, apparently, ALL the P2 kids this year get to learn violin, which I think is excellent for the kids - some who may not get the chance otherwise now have the opportunity to be exposed to the instrument and classical music (perhaps?). 🙂

yup, i like Keming's approach to learning which not only focus on holistic learning but also semantic understanding.

But then there are the realli KS parent who like to compare their kids against peers in other school and use the difference to ask the teachers \"why why why\". I applaud Keming's teacher for not succumbing to such pressure and go for result.

The principal play a very important role in such as his policy did not just focus solely on academic development.

Its a very refreshing approach given that he is a young chap with lot of senior teacher under his wing.
