Pricess Elizabeth is also cutting their classes to prep for single session.2016 is the cut off for schools to go single-session.
Pei Hwa is a co-ed school. Cutting more classes will get more painful. Imagine there are already many condo projects within 1km, cutting will lead to less vacancies but many applicants.
Bukit Timah is the only other school here with 180 places. I'm not surprised the school will keep cutting classes until 2016. Didn't realize Princess Elizabeth and Keming have just 210 places. -
The lifts in Pei Hwa are for teachers.
Son told me they are not allowed to take the lift unless they are helping the teacher to carry books to/from staffroom, injured the ankle or any other valid reason.
So school mgmt should have thought of building 7-8 storeys. Definitely GOOD exercise for the boys carrying bags. Girls will also have well-toned thighs…no need to join gym or ballet. -

FT will give the student a lift pass, so that he/she can use the lift till he/she recovers from injury. The lifts in Pei Hwa are for teachers.

IHe's on the verge of underweight
Your ds got to be underweight, cos my ds is k2 and also 22kg. And pils are already giving me pressure as they considered him skinny for his age.Jennifer:
No need taekwondo, just watch Ip Man and those fighting shows.
My P3 boy recently got into two fights- in sch hall (cos some classmates teased him) and on sch bus (a boy poked him with a sharp object and caused some bleeding on his thigh).
I hv banned all fighting shows (even cartoons) :x
Btw my P3 boy is only 1.25cm tall and weighs 22kg. But his fist can be painful (according to my elder boy).
Boys will be boys. My ds fights with his best friend everyday. But it's not the ip man kind of fight. It's more of pushing and hugging each other kind of fight.
Dun see him skinny n shorter than most classmates. Once he is provoked, the other party really has to watch out.
I dun agree to using punches to settle teasing. Yes, a kind of self defence, but over such trival issues? In the sch hall fight, all the boys involved including mine were given an earful from a teacher who happened to see the fight.
What happened on the sch bus lagi \"funny\". After my boy punched the other boy, he still dare to ask for monetary compensation. The other boy also blur blur agreed and really passed the money to my boy the next day at sch. :slapshead: As I had told him not to take the money, he did not accept it. -

Jennifer, you must have reached 最高境界 to be able to write such a post so calmly. The true master dwells within!

Take my hats off. :udawoman: Haha.

dyh,
Off topic here, but yes Princess Elizabeth is cutting classes to meet MOE’s direction to go single-session…will be doing so every year.
The joke is to have open house when the school is already so popular. -
markfch, k2 and already 22kg?? oh.. then my son is really underweight!! he's k2 and only 17kg!! N I keep telling myself he looks ok.. hahah.. I do wonder how he's goin to carry his school bag... His sunday school bag only has a bible, pencil case n water bottle, he's already complaining that it's too heavy!! Maybe we have to start weight training.. with all those storeys.. I better buy good white hiking shoes for him then!! hah hah..
I do hope that PH goes single session soon though, if not when my DS2 enters primary one, i will surely struggle with 2sons in different sessions!!

Maybe his bones are light or small build
My girl heavy build like her daddy now 20kg already... (k2)
