I really hope the situation in the 3 bishan schools will ease next year when my turn comes. Hopefully GYPS will become a draw factor by being spanking new! <cross>

To be honest, doubt the situation will ease -- since the birth rate has u-turned up in 2005!!

Yes, I also doubt about this. when my turn comes, phase 1 occupied by
siblings , huge numbers from Y2004's born quaified on 2A), especially for CHS....

really really possible that no chance for 2B.

You have a chance in 2B for CHS if you stay less than 1 km. Of course, most likely to balloting based on the this year and past years’ statistics. In fact, I attended the CHS’s PV briefing last year. The principal told us to forget about PV if you stay more than 1km. On top of that, there is a new condo next to CHS. When the project is ready, the competition will hot up. Do take note.

BTW, parents can apply using the Sales&Purchase agreement of the new property, as long as they move in within two years of the child's entry into P1. Other than the Clover, there is also Natura Loft within one km of CHS. So, competition is really hot.

I guess so too. 2005 was the year when the maternity benefits were enhanced. But if some were to move to GYPS, and if KCPPS were to relocate to another premise, it may change the whole landscape. Who knows may end up having KCPPS as the one with least number of children registering. :lol:

Actually I am curious about GY situation too. Though I live in Bishan, school in AMK is closer to me than GY. Those folks staying near GY's Bishan premises have the option to go KCPPS and schools at Tao Pa Yoah. I wonder why people avoid the school just around the block qnd rather travel further for another school. Any parents with kids at GY can share with us?

That's the reason why parents who's genuine staying around the school have problem sending their kids in. while parent who are staying far away from the schools are taking the advantage of clans & religions status to get in. Especially for parents who are not fortunate to move around the island even they know the chance of getting in is very slim. Really pity for them as they are the one who are being stucked without much choices left.
