2010 DSA(Direct School Admission)

DD just came home and told me sadly that one of her classmates was NOT accepted in her DSA application to RGS. The e-mail came yesterday.


Advised DD to encourage her classmate to try to do well for the upcoming PSLE and get in through the central S1 posting exercise (if she is still keen on going to RGS).

My dd GEP also received rejected e-mail from RGS yesterday. Although she is sad, she said she will study harder to get in her dream school.Hope your dd classmates will do the same.

It seems that all those who got CO are from RGPS. In the past pp have been complaining that RGPS is not affiliated with RGS, may be action taken liao.

all government schools even bearing the same names have no affiliation

RGS, RGPS & RI are all government schools

HCI, NYPS, NYGH are founded by private individuals, now government aided schools but there is a board of directors formed by the community and the schools got to raise money for their program & buildings

Zann, if my guess is correct, angelee998's dd is from RGPS and thus your comments do not 'hold water'. RGS also rejects girls from RGPS.

Thru gym, ya she went for an interviewed 2 weeks ago. Total 8 girls but i think only half of them been offered.

Y no ans from any boys school yet ? :? Have been trying to tell son not to think too much about result of DSA but can't help feeling anxious. Any DS receive good / bad news yet? Better than no news at all.

Yes, can anyone comment , no interviews means no hope or means still pending for results , NYGS interviews period ends 8/8 but till date still no news.???

That's right, no news at all. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Now is the time for DS to put in all effort for PSLE regardless of wether DSA is successful.
