      HI mikii,

Yours truly is a lazy mum here...never washed school bags before. πŸ˜›
Washing school shoes also once every 2 weeks because son has PE only once a week this year as compared to 3x a week last year.

      Hi cantbearit2,
My daughter looks like a 3 year old. School doesn't allow trolley bags.
Bought her a SPI (small size)...quite worried if there will be a lot of books to carry everyday. Son is skinny too, fortunately his SPI bag doesn't weigh him down although he 'graduated' to a Large last year.
Right now my son is using a normal school bag and we wash every month and every week for the school shoe. Just wonder is SPI washable due to the contoured back cushion support.

Altho my own child is using a Chiropak ergo bag, I recall reading this article in the ST some time ago that gave the highest points to Lego and Deuter for comfort. Mind you, that article was like 2 or 3 yrs back. They tested out Deuter, Lego and SPI. Not sure if Impact was included.

Just bought a Red/Pink ergonomic deuter bag for my daughter. there's a 20% discount at OG Orchard, so the bag comes up to $96. The bag itself is so much lighter than her older school bag, so this is a big plus!
It has a lot of compartments too, so useful for my daughter.
Personally i would prefer to buy Deuter than Impact and SPI, as the brand itself is reliable. My 2 cents' worth.

My P2 and p3 are using Deuter. They started using their bag since term 3 last year. We never washed it. So far so good except for the water bottle compartment. One of them has a torn compartment. We intend to let them continue using the bag until end of this year where they will move to Samsonite haversacks. Probably less kiddy and common for the tweens.

            Hi janet_lee88,

My gal also look like 3 y.o. πŸ˜‰

How is your gal coping with the SPI bag? Have you compared with the Deuter bag?

              Hi KhalidM,

Can share with me why you prefer Deuter to Impact or SPI?

My daugther in K2 full day, so she needs to bring along her toiletries, changing clothes & towel to school everyday. Thinking to get her a trolley bag to relieving that heavy load on her shoulder and back.

                      Hi,

I got mine at Kiddy Palace at Century Square (Tampines). They have quite a good collection.

                        Is SPI bag washable?

                        Hi Mikii,

My boy is in P2 now. He is small and skinny, weighing only 18kg. He has been using the same SPI bag since P1. Yes, it's washable but I've only washed it 4 times so far. However, due to the material of the bag (plasticky), some of the dirt are rather tough to get rid of. So far, all compartments are well intact.

May get him a new one for P3 next year.

                        Regards,
                        Didi
