My boys were searching the youtube for the NDP song when they chanced upon this video called \" I live in Singapura\". Thanks to this funny video which has successfully aroused my kids curiosity, I have now many questions to answer. They will bug me with questions like, who is Mahathir? who is adullah? who is MM? what is COE? what is NEwater? what is road tax? what is colonised?

The funniest part was when DS1 asked why did singapore separate from malaysia? To put things simple, i told them that the malaysians couldn't get along well with singaporeans during those days, so they quarrel, quarrel until one day both couldn't take it, so they went separate ways and that's how we got our Singapura. DS2 jumped up and said, \"O I see. Since Malaysians and Singaporeans cannot get along, why did you marry dad? No wonder you all always quarrel!\" :stupid:

My little ones never fail to amuse me with their thoughts.

Hope this joke is not too \"chim\" to follow through. My kid might say the darnest thing but in this case, my mind should stick to fact rather than dreaming away.

I was reading on male Bower bird and was amazed by it's ability to create beautiful home (nest) to lure females for mating. It's truly amazing and the write up along with pictures were beautifully done in National Geographic Magazine (July) which I then shared the article with ds. Here's our conversation.

Me: Look at how romantic the male Bowerbird is in trying to mate the female bird. (I was actually thinking romantically if man can put an effort in creating a beautiful home before asking a girl for her hand, just like the male bowerbird).

DS: Wow! Amazing, the bird really puts an effort in decorating it's nest just to get married.

Me: Ya, the only peave is male bowerbird adopts polygamy, means it will mate with many other female birds and not stay married to one.

DS: Good! That will ensure it's species will not extinct and keep on producing.

Me: :!: (Bubble burst! Next time I cannot romantically link a bird characteristic with human).

I bet you love fairy tales... and they live happily ever after.. THE END!

Take heart that he has his science facts all correct.. . šŸ˜‰

            :celebrate:

Gosh! More work to be done on that tail end uh, EN?
Better not let the daddies read that article too lest they only
decorate the place to attract other mates. :nunchuk:

              Missed ya around here.

I'm very busy with work these days. Nice to feel there's so much love here still šŸ˜„
