i used to employ PT maid to come in once a week to do basic cleaning.. range from myanmar to philipino maids..

i stopped when i lost a diamond ring during 1 instance..

later on, careful a bit but 'gao wek' cuz the maid put on perfume and make up and lipstick.. 😛 weird that a stranger walk in and out and honestly, those few hours we are all stuck at home.. not the type sit and point so we will need to help out by moving furniture while she clean, help out a bit.. cannot watch over her yet still must subtly see what she is doing.. v cham..

      maidless for 2 years already..

long time never come into this thread. i switched to an agent who matches a helper to us. the maids r employees of his company and he wil try to match someone who lives closeby. they r all sporeans or PR.reason i did this is becos sometimes my previous parttime maid cannot work on certain weeks (eg. not free or sick) and i m left stranded. so i opted for this more expensive arrangement where he wil arrange for other maids to come in to make up.

the first maid he assigned to me was very good. however due to her family problems n distance very far from my house, had to change. there were occasions the helpers he assigned were less than ideal and so i feedback to him accordingly. currently the one he assigned to me is pretty good n stays close by.

overall, i would say he trains his helpers very well. they r trained to do general cleaning like dusting n re-arranging untidy corners (which we r pretty lazy to do). this current one also once in a while will wipe the kitchen cupboards, doors and wardrobes on her own initiative(on top of the vacuuming, mopping, toilets, window cleaning, ironing) n thats why i feel money well spent. her ironing not so fast la but i think her cleaning of toilets and general cleaning of all the areas more than make up for it. per session is 4 hrs.

but of course do remember that there r not so good ones sometimes so really need to communicate with the employer. of course once u r satisfied with a certain maid, that one wil stay wif u unless unforeseen circumstances arise.
if anyone is keen to check this agency out, can pm me.
