We love this game - Taboo - the game of unspeakable fun. How to say ICE if you can't say SNOW, CREAM, FROZEN, CUBE AND WATER?

Great game to play during gatherings and great way to boost vocabulary and word building skills. 😉

        I love playing thinkfun games!

Have personally played Rush Hours & River Crossing!
Pretty fun and certainly frustrating at times when I cant get to what I need to achieve!

My DD and I started playing Chinese Checkers last year when she was 6. To my surprise, after a few halting starts, she seemed to develop quite an interest in the game.

Now, age 7, she can actually beat me.

check out Bloomington’s at anchorpoint (opposite ikea). they stock some interesting board games - some of which are used in Logicmills (eg Ugly Dolls & PDQ).

Ugly Dolls - players need to be fast to recognise similar types.

PDQ - players need to come up with words containing the letters in the cards. thinking and guess will improve english (although you probably need certain level to start with).

I just bought a math board game for my child - Genius Mathematics. It’s more than just a math board game. Good to teach values with the card games as well. she just started primary school and before that she never liked math. so i’m so glad that she doesnt dislike math anymore.

Her relationship with math just got better after a few plays, sharper and faster with math questions. she’s on the board game at least twice a week. it’s definitely worth the buy for children to improve and learn math through a fun way.

Can pm me for special price, cause if buy direct more expensive.

Hmm, I would recommend TABOO. It helps the kid to think out of the box to express his ideas in words. Its fun too!

Chess, scrabble and Othello. Some secondary schools hv mindgames as cca which comprises of these 3 games.

Scrabble is probably the best. I used to learn some new words when playing with my friends.

But have to admit, its about 20 years ago.
Unless some game developer develops some new games for english, I am pretty convinced that scrabble is still the best.
