My girl is also not successful in the SCGS DSA exercise. Wonder how many girls does the school take in thru this year's DSA?
When did your girl receive the mail or email from SCGS? she is base on performing arts, sports or academic? we still have not receive any news so far......My undertstanding during the DSA talk Session, the schools are allowed to admit students up to only about 50 place of their Secondary One intake and they have more then 30+ CCA. so you can see that the chances of getting in is so slim....

I think most students who get in via DSA GEP and academics will not be too far off from the COP. In cases where the PSLE aggregate falls far below the COP, these are more likely the ones who got in via DSA Sports. In such cases, the parents and children should have a fair idea of how well their kid is likely to perform at PSLE, whether he's likely to score 220+, 230+, 240+ etc. If the COP for a school is 260 and my child is likely to score 240 or below in PSLE, I would not let my child go that school. What's the point of going there to suffer because the pace is too fast for you, if you're always at the bottom of the class, you feel lousy about yourself... And on top of this you have to continue to excel at your Sports. Too much stress.
I think I will have second thought if the kid's T-score later is far below the school's COP. -
Agreed with jtoh And Snowz

Does anyone know how many students were selected for the NJC Phase 2 out of the total 690 applicants?

Oral Chinese over, DS said quite good. crossed fingers then. tomorrow English Oral, and then can take a short break for him.
It's been hard for him these 2 days, 26 of his boys cohorts got CO from RI, only 9 of them on WaitList, 2 rejected. But the 2 who got reject letter and the others on WL at RI, mostly get CO from HCI, only 1 on Waitlist from HCI. My understanding is all the girls also CO from RGS and NYGH too.
Kinda made me regret not applying for HCI now. His classmate who scores badly in SA1 ( GE average less than 70 ) and who was rejected in RI, also manage to get a CO from HCI. Good for him, because 1 da before, he was very depressed about the rejection letter from RI.
But DS still hope he can get into RI via PSLE Tscore, as most of his friends are there.
Can only console myself that this WaitList from RI, has woke him up and need to buck up for his PSLE. It has been hard on him, as most of his mates already got 2 Confirmed Offers ( RI and HCI ).
Good luck to all others who are still waiting.

Your DS must be from GEP then. How about mainstream boys who went through GAT and selection test for RI DSA? Not many have received reply. -
