Blobbi:
Hi Blobbi,Can someone tell me how to get to this food centre with the word \"Selera\" or something similar in it?
There was this once, we were in the area and were enticed by the stalls - the one I ate from was called \"Joo Chiat mince noodles\" or something to that effect. It was so old fashioned and so goood! The second time we went back a-looking to the area, the food centre cum market had um, mysteriously vanished.
Anyone has any clue??
Do you mean the stall with a word Selera or the food centre with the name Selera? I know there's a stall in Blk 58 market - Selera Kita - selling very sedap Mee Rebus...
Joo Chiat mince noodles... sounds quite familar... let me slowly recall... -
Blobbi:
Hi Blobbi, the stall with the name Selera is the one at Blk 58 Bedok. Was recommended by Apek for the sedap mee rebus! But must go there early. Apek said the most frustrating thing is that you can join the Q at 10plus in the morning and when it reaches your turn, they tell you, sorry no more gravy left! :stupid: I have never experienced that before but Apek has and think he kena not once, but twice! :stupid:Can someone tell me how to get to this food centre with the word \"Selera\" or something similar in it?

I think Selera it's in the name of the food centre itself. What does that mean in Malay? If it means Food, then finish liao!! :faint:
Ok one of these days, will go zooming around to find it again. -
Guess nowadays that is also 1 of the very few places that you can get mee rebus at $1.20

At Blk 16 Bedok South, they used to have a very good cuttlefish kangkong stall. Cheap and huge serving. Not sure if it is still there.

hi cantbearit2,Hi hapydino,
DH also likes the peanut soup. Pork porridge we seldom order cos too many gd thgs to eat liao. hee... Did try once but prefer the one at Bedok hawker (near to post office one, not the bus interchange one).
Is the 五香nice? Have nv tried it. which stall is it? can recommend? nex time we can try.
We don't eat sotong so nv try oso. We found the bbq chix wings not bad though (same row as the bak chor mee). Getting hungry each time i go into this thread.
oh i like the peanut soup too!!
we will normally go for Chan BBQ when we are there and some days will tabao the pork porridge back home..
the 五香 is good!! dun have the oil smell.. its along the same row as the peanut soup..
