So far, how do you feel about the school? Currently, heard a lot negative comments on the school. Just want to get some feedback from the existing students and parents.

Also quite curious to hear what are the negative comments. Who do you get the feedback from?

I myself not an insider can only judge the school from objective indicators and anedoctal signs. I think teachers and parents of the school keen enough to take out extra time to organise such activities can't be too bad.

Or is it also common in many other schools? I am not too sure.

A few of my friends asked the sames question \"why RV?\" when I told them that my DD wants to apply RV DSA. They have friend's kids in the school, mentioning that the new P's management style has caused teachers to leave. The teachers are not as passionate as before, the school only focus on academic result and neglect the morality.
I was puzzled too when I heard that as to my knowledge, RV is always a reputable school, but I have no way to clarify as I have no known friend's child in the school as the school just moved to west zone for less than a year.
But my DD has marked RV as her first choice of secondary school, which she submitted her only DSA application. šŸ˜„

Hi snowsam, I wish to say something about this sentence \"the school only focus on academic result and neglect the morality.\" - Last time the P a bit \"ang mo pie\", more open with the students. This P, more traditional and he is quite strict on morale issues. If I am a student, I won't like current P's old, traditional, Chinese style. If I am a parent, of course I agree to this style but on the other hand, also worry for the kids, hope they won't make big mistakes and get punish hard. šŸ™

From the view of a parent, I don't see any major difference in terms of the teachers or maybe not yet. :?

Actually, dd told me, she saw SO MANY students applying DSA this year.

I'll be very worry if the school just focus on alot of eca activities with no academic value added. Morality is relative...is just whether the school chooses which set of value system to inculcate in their students. I'll say it is important for the school to inculcate in students the attitude of doing the best in everything ( a positive attitude) and the courage to take up leadership for a good cause whenever necessary.

I would think, both academic and morality are equally important, no matter which school my child goes to.

                        Totally agreed.
