Most of the P1 classes are on level 1 but a few are on level 2. I don’t like trolley bags as it’s difficult to go up and down the stairs with them. I bought a McNeill ergo bag for my daughter. Quite a few students use SPI but plenty of them use just "normal" bags.

My gal is using SPI cos it was on sale. I am not so sure abt the ergo thingy. The bag feels heavy even with only a few books. On 2nd thots, mayb i shd have bought a normal sch bag (w/o those ergo stuff). Trolley bag to me is out. I see kids running and dashing with their trolley bag. Its dangerous plus they sometimes assemble in the new school hall which is on the 2nd level. Imagine ur kid needing to carry the trolley bag up the stairs.

Grouping of students at P1 seems to be random? And I think they will carry on in the same class with the same form teacher in P2, afterwhich they will be \"streamed\".

To my understanding from a P2 parent, not all classes have the same p1 & p2 teacher, it depends. To me, there are pros and cons to have the same tr.

I bought an SPI bag for my son too as it fits really well to his body. Weight was distributed to the waist instead of totally resting on the shoulders due to the additional strap at the waist. Thot it was good.

DD has been using SPI bag since P3 and the condition of the bag is still good. Therefore she will continue to use it till end of next year and then change a new bag for the Secondary School.

Brownie, my daughter’s hasn’t been called to attend extra classes this year but I heard that some of her friends have been asked to get into school earlier for special classes. Think it’s for those who are lagging behind or need special attention

Is there any enrichment class for P1 like English, chinese and maths out of school hours? Any advise where to go to to supplement my child’s p1 studies next year?
