what hobbies do you have besides parenting?

I dont know if this is related to this thread but I love to read, have been guilty of reading books for the children, sometimes will take out old enid blyton books to read in between chores..hmmm...dont know if there is anyone who is like that...I feel weird but sometimes dont have the time to read a whole book meant for adults so I just read my kids books :oops:

Me too.
Although DD is only 10 months young.
But she loves to sit with me while I read to her, not aloud just regular speaking tone.
I've dug out my old Famous Five, Secret Seven, Malory Towers, Faraway Tree etc. Although she's probably more suitable for my Noddy books for now.

Yes, I still have them!! Esp love Malory Towers, Faraway tree..ya, they grow up so fast..gives me a happy but sad feeling also..must enjoy these years with them..hopefully they will also pick up a love of reading along the way.

Hi jasmineong, you are not the only one "guilty" of reading kid’s books.

I read Grimm Tales in Japanese as i am learning the language.
It’s fun to read children’s books.
I read Charlotte’s Web for the first time to help my DS with his literature.

My choice quite various, can be those books about parenting/upbringing of childrend, 言情小说, 台湾作家-三毛/张曼娟/吴淡如 , 漫画- 朱庸/ 蔡志忠 ...recipes...those books about how to clean/tidy your house with easy/fast way

I borrow those from library, mostly.

Sometimes I also go to Bras Basah Complex, to grab some 2nd books too

Oops, I cant read the words in Chinese, my chinese has flown out of the window since I stopped learning in after jc haha...how is the selection at Bras Basah, I used to like Sunny bookstore but they are not too cheap.

Yes, Charlotte's web is a lit book.
My DS is in Sec1.
But i heard that this book is used in some pri sch as well.
Actually i also watch cartoons like spongebob square pants and pokemon.
Second childhood!
