Hi,
I'm still considering about it. Need to figure a way to take orders and send out the file.
Regards,

there is also another aspect to it : higher order thinking question where the answer is not by direct lifting from the passage. THINK !DD did very badly in open ended comprehension:( she is trying her level best but ends up getting low marks. I dont know if anything can be done to help her now? Any tips? I am really worried as she did the whole paper well except this section. Her answers seem to be ok to me but mafks not awarded. Is the marking during PSLE as strict as this?
Pls help -
Science didnt score marks in open ended. MCQ ok but OE very badly done!

Most students lack the process skills. Section B requires alot of analytical thinking and interpretations. A good book to get is 'Science Process Skills' by Teachers @ Work. It has 2 books, P3/4 and P5/6. You can ask your child to do it selectively due to time constraints (pick those worksheets with alot of graphs and diagrams which they are not good at). -

both on the same day ?
Update: Science was killer. Half of my class girls didn't finish, still left like 3/4 questions. Boys finished, still got time for toilet and playing with stationery. :stupid: :stupid:
Update: Failed chinese composition, score Low A for chinese.
Very demoralized since I failed all the subjects by class standards(I'm in top class, top 5 students... so this time round's results is really really bad) -

Cheer up and try harder for PSLE. Know where you have made the mistakes and learn from there. Prelim is not the \"destination\" for this race, it is just a internediate check-point. Aim for the \"destination\" - PSLE. And btw, PSLE is only one of such race. There are many more races in your life. What is important is you continue racing and motivating yourself thru'out life.
All the best! -

Chin up girl.
Some how Prelims are like that. In fact i have been talking and kinda of boosting some moms as they are very worried abt the child performance at prelims - each one is from a different school, but same story got marks far less than usual standard.
And frankly the reason I could do that was DD has not yet received her marks
, and now i am mentally prepared to see her marks ...
Prelims are meant to make u sit up and ensure kids dont slack. So dont worry too much . Feelings cant be helped. Cry it out and move on ...
Remember big battle ahead :rubhands:
And yes you can do it

This is my first time not scoring high due to the mistakes i made, such as writing the wrong topic for composition. But I can safely say that my English and Science has improved.
I think I'm only affected because the head prefect(who is very boastful) kept saying that she was better than me in everything, even though it was true in some ways. I'm not used to her boastings because she only scored second in level position just recently... She boasts alot whenever she beats me.
Well I will keep my morals up and beat her in PSLE!
Jiayous to every P6 taking their PSLE! -
livewith_vanilla,
Not yet bed time ??
Tell u a tip
People boast bcos they are insecure- they feel threatened by you/environment/ by others so they have to boast constantly to assure themselves that they are good, not just lucky.
Like lets say you play a game with a toddler , you will let the toddler win - see u dont have to prove urself, you know that you are way better, but when you play with ur equals it kinda hurts to lose , sometimes can even give excuses for losing...
Remember this and you can peacefuly ignore boasters...
In fact if your r in a wicked mood you can revel that \"hey she is actually threatened by my abilities...\"
Yes all the best to you and all P6ers!
Works your butts off kids
( errr.. parents excuse the language)
