I think that as long as she is filipina, may it be ex.... whatever country, they will still want h/p, die die also must find someone to talk, ex hk , ex taiwan also just as bad, dnt forget they hv off days every wk n hv made loads of friends there, most probably hv friends n relatives here too n will eventually build up their network of friends to talk to.Hi Cher_06
Is the HP giving u problems too? I believe if she is Ex SIN she probably have many friends here already so want to chit-chat while working, right? Mine also filipino wants to leave after 7yrs which I believe was becos I was not pleased that she used the HP until her work affected (my earlier posts. ) So I told my agent that I do not want ex-sin maids. But I do not mind ex-malaysia, HK, Taiwan etc.
Perhaps a fresh filipina would b easier to control but due to their restrictions, i think gonna be hard to come in for now.
Btw. read on Yahoo that spore gonna bring in 45,000 bangla or is it sri landkan maids by end of the year. Any one read abt it?

I guess some Indonesian maids are seeing Bangladeshi men. With 45,000 Bangladeshi maids coming here, there will be competition...afterall, Bangladeshi maids speak same language as the men. HaHaHa.
Used to have a Sri Lankan maid when I was younger...she worked in Saudi Arabia before and so she is not the country side one would expect.
Just wondering how to communicate with Bangladeshi maids ??? :?
No Filipina maid (hardly) can survive without a handphone. Die die must have one. Their ears are very 'soft', even a freshie one will be brainwashed. -

cher_06,
I was in a smiliar situation a few years ago. My dad (a widower) wanted to send his maid home as she had attitude problem. The maid cried and plead with us and the agent not to send her home and request for a tranfer. At that time, we did thought of transferring her to another family as all she required was someone with a strong personality to watch over her.
But after discussion with my family, we had decided to send her back as we think we should not encourage such attitude and create more problems to her future employer. Just my take.
