7 New IP schools

RI/HCI/ACSI all have the same set up. They are all boys schools from Year 1-4 and in Year 5-6 they are co-ed.Questions here. RI and HCI only have girls in Year 5 and Year 6 but they are still known as boys' school. ACSI has similar setup, ie only have girls in Year 5 and 6, but why is ACSI now a co-ed school?
I wonder how many girls join ACSI in Year 5. The ratio could be lop-sided. SJI will be doing a similar model as ACSI.
RI and HCI are actually RJC and HCJC in Year 5&6, just that the name's changed.
Isn't SJI at Year 5 & 6 all boys too? -

I think they may take in girls from Year 5. Similarly to what ACSI does currently.

Agree. And SCGS is an independent school. So does it mean their girls will pay higher school fees but go through the same curriculum as girls from St Nics and end up in the same new JC.
SCGS - quite funny to pair it with 2 Catholic/SAP schools
Just wondering what criteria MOE use to fit these 3 schools together. -

Only two IP (Cedar and VS) school will benefit the students (P5 now) who are taking PSLE on 2011 based on their Secondary 1 intake on Year 2012. That’s mean that our choices (either boy or girl) only increase by 1 on next year Secondary School selection. Wow, still very tough.

The way I see it, the addition of the seven more IP schools won’t affect the present COP of IP schools. Firstly because, the number isn’t big. Only 50 more for each school and they already have this number before they get IP status. It will be useful for some schools to stem brain drain. For example Saint Nick, MGS…the biggest winner is Cedar Girls School. They are already good, now get to associate with a better brand name VJC.
Can someone tell me what is the intake for MGS ,SCGS and ACSI after they reserve all the places for their affiliated primary schools? -
