      Hi Bliss,

Yah it's the same Kim Choo which sells nice dumplings and nonya kueh. If you go to their East Coast/Joo Chiat branch, the shop above the dumplings/nonya kueh sells all the nonya attire, accessories..
i find Kim Choo a bit ex leh though agree their dumplings are good..

there is once.. the auntie promoting their Nonya Agar Agar in box of 4 pieces.. i decided to buy 1 piece to try and walao it costs me $3!!!

tasted it when back home, it is just agar agar lor.. nothing special..

II tried this particular lapis cake the yr my DS was born from the same stall and it was v good, although oily. Now its back again. Its pricey at $45 for a square shaped cake. Didn't ask the the weight because in a hurry but I guess maybe ard 1kg???? If you are familiar with prune lapis cake, then just imagine the combination of haw flakes instead of prunes ....

Who likes traditional Malay Kueh Tu-tu with only crushed gula melaka inside and served with lots of grated coconut?

The best ones are at Haig Road Banquet foodcourt and also a not-bad one at Serangoon Central interchange, near Sweet Talk. Sedap…

$1 for 3. Definitely better than those sold at Chinese stalls.

Ditto that girls! The Banquet @ Haig Road has thee best to date!

Always long queue there... or worse sometimes when i get there
              they're all sold out.

I think tutu is the short bamboo shaped kind and the flat like the
saucer is called putu piring. Piring means saucer in Malay. 😄
