I think MOE did state that all IP schools still can accept students from non-IP schools in Sec 3, correct me if I am wrong.
In the same report, its mentioned that the Cedar Girls on IP will remain in Cedar for 4 years. Does that mean the VS boys on IP will also remain in the VS for 4 yrs. So what's happening with the current VJC VIP model where the students start their IP in VJC in Sec 3,4 and then carry thru to the JC1/2 years. Is that going to be discontinued in the future? It will be such a waste as that pgm has been around since 2005.sporemum:

very likely VS's IP will also be there in Victoria School for 4 years... no details out from VS or VJC side yet ... should look for their website maybe to be sure or news report... -

Summary : t-score 250 for affilation primary schs.
t-score 250 OR above for others.
The rest of sec 1 pupils shall take the 0-level track and can cross over if they excel in their sec 2 exams. This rule shall apply to all incl dsa pupils. -

CHS is not the only SAP School among the Catholic Schools. St Nics, Maris Stella are also SAP Schools.verykiasu2010:

Just a note for parents: Getting into an IP programme doesn’t necessarily guarantee you a 6 year thru-train. Some schools will re-evaluate the students at different stages. For eg., at the end of Year 2, if your child is not performing up to standard, the school can ask your child to switch back to the O level track. ACSI and some other IP schools do this currently.

NOT unheard of.[/quote]sorry , i saw your posting and i always assumed since RI and HCI is so high in COP, ALL their sec1 intake are 100% IP students... do you mean HCI and RI have O level track (i.e. classes) to fall back on also??? :? making them dual track schools similar to the new ones?? sorry, i havent been reading much on IP on the 1st batch of IP schools :oops: ... thanks

No. They do not run dual track. All are 100% IP from Sec 1 onwards. However, if they do badly in year 2 / 3....they will be asked to go do O level. May be RI does not create an O level class because the drop out is almost nil, hence the rare ones got transferred out. For HCI, they promised the parents to take care of the kids once they are in HCI regardless how they perform, they are more \"merciful\" to create a small O level class for their own boys. Many parents have noted that HCI is a very caring community. If the HCI O level boys do well, they can get back into the IP...by then JC 1 liao

just like one pupil in my gal's class kena \"warnings\"
what i mean is the initial happiness/ thoughts of getting into a \"so called IP school\" w/o getting into a \"IP class\"

in RI / HCI / NYGH / RGS = every class is IP class.

i call them the IPO schools (sounds like stock market) IP & O level
