No. They do not run dual track. All are 100% IP from Sec 1 onwards. However, if they do badly in year 2 / 3....they will be asked to go do O level. May be RI does not create an O level class because the drop out is almost nil, hence the rare ones got transferred out. For HCI, they promised the parents to take care of the kids once they are in HCI regardless how they perform, they are more \"merciful\" to create a small O level class for their own boys. Many parents have noted that HCI is a very caring community. If the HCI O level boys do well, they can get back into the IP...by then JC 1 liao

besides this, there is dsa, where every wholesaler also keeps a few fishes in his pocket - for sale to preferred customers. the prices of dsa fishes are independent of the normal bidding process.

cos' d katang eating bulk view them as ching-chong.[/quote]i personally dont find Cath High (or MSHS) boys r Ching CHong types ... but some of Hwa Chong are.....many are from average families just , many are also not catholic in religion, just that some parents hope them to have better command /background in CL... btw HCI is NOT catholic school ok.....

all have similar Chinese style heritage... those silver huge buttons on uniform etc....

just that lesser other races in such schools , hence almost no indians or malays, Eurasian there... if one wish such background that represent whole of S'pore section of population... should consider schools like VS, SJI etc.....if can meet the COP lah and of course RI

yes, of course i am aware and heard of them......but these are only the very MINORITY

I would guess that before the IP programme is implemented in the dual track schools, the schools will give an idea of what the COP for IP is. For eg at ACSI, >25? (not sure what the COP is currently) will give you a spot in IB, anything below that is O level track. So students shouldn't be too surprised or shocked that they aren't in the IP track.[/quote]The COPs for IP or O levels are not prefixed. Last year those who applied for ACSI only knew they were on IP or O levels track after the S1 posting. So this is the risk you have to take unless your T score is clearly well above the historical COP for IP track.

I was a true blue \"chainee ellicotter\" until my \"A\" levels, when I was dumped into the company of kentang eating folks. the helicopter crashed in no time.

yes, there shd be some guidelines of the COP for the IP class set by individual schools....
just that i am quoting forumer kiaaik who have posted an example....
what if the guideline for COP for \"A school\" and \"B school\" a difference of 10 points or so ......
then there'll bound to have some \"transferring of school issues\"
