Hi!Hi Panerai,
=======================================
Why do ACSJ boys have to travel regularly to Barker Road for ECAs?
Are you talking about swimming?PANERAI5888:
not much diff except a couple of those whose children had gone over to ACSP due to GEP said that ACSJ is less CHAOTIC (more disciplined) overall.
I agree. More rich kids/ rich dads in ACSP, naturally more challenging for kids to cope with such peer pressures : )
So I personally feel that ACSJ is a better place to nurture/ groom a kid and he also have good mix of \"hard-lander\" friends who are not old boys/ rich dad affliated. The only inconvenience is to travel back to Barker regularly for ECAs.
Just to share.
Most CCA are held within the school premises. Even if there are any activity held out of the school, usually school bus will be provided.
As for swimming CCA, it is held @ Keppel Club. School bus is provided.

My boy is registered for P1 in ACS Jr Yr 2010. Keep in touch! Am currently overseas, so will be nice to know if it is difficult to immerse him back in Singapore school system. I asked the students there for swimming lessons, they go to ACSP site for it. Do they go Keppel Club for swim? Interesting…

My boy will be in ACJS next year. I understand that ACJS sends delegates for the Odyssey of the Mind competition annually. Can I find out
1. How is a boy chosen for the competition?
2. At what level do they participate in?
3. How a parent can prep their son to be suitable to join the competion? -

Currently, lessons will be only @ Keppel. As SP's pool are going on some maintenance until further notice.mummypumpkin:

Hi Parents,
Any parent who had registered their kid to P1 in ACS junior next year and wanted to change to SJI.
Kindly PM and to see whether we can work something out with MOE to do a exchange of school.
My Son had allocated a place in SJI through balloting. -

Hi everyone,
My son will be in P1 next year. Sorry if this sounds like a silly question, but how much does the canteen food cost? Trying to figure out how much pocket money to give him. -

Just checked out the canteen food while waiting for the books to be packed.
Prices generally range from $1 to $2, for noodle & rice items. Was very worried regarding lunch as DS is a super fussy eater.
After looking through the stalls, DS actually told me he'll eat fried rice/chicken rice every day :stupid:
